Liam Hemsworth

Liam began his acting career in 2007 with a role in one of the Australian telenovela episodes Home and Away. He got another part in the TV film McLeod’s Daughters. In the summer, Hemsworth started working on the TV series Neighbors, where his brother Luke used to play a leading role. In 2008, Liam landed a part in the kids’ TV series The Elephant Princess. In 2009, the young actor had small roles on the big screen in the movies Triangle and Knowing. The same year, Liam moved to the USA. The next year, Hemsworth worked on the movie The Last Song. When agreeing to work on the role, Liam didn’t know how important it will be for his personal life. In the movie, Liam played the lover of Miley Cyrus’s character. The on-screen romance became real. Later, Liam appeared in Miley’s music video "When I Look At You". The song earned a Teen Choice Awards as "Choice Music: Love Song.” Liam also got a Nickelodeon Australian Kids' Choice Awards 2010 for the Best Kiss with Miley.

Hemsworth’s breakthrough role was in the film The Hunger Games, in which he portrayed Gale Hawthorne in April 2011. The world premiere of the movie was in the spring of 2012. The success was unexpected and overwhelming. All the actors from the film woke up famous. Event organizers and fans dreamed of inviting Liam Hemsworth to their events but it was too late. The film had a bombshell effect and received numerous awards. Liam was nominated for an MTV Movie Award. The same year, Hemsworth played a small role in the thriller The Expendables 2, which got an impressive approval from the critics. In 2012, Liam started working on the second part of the Hunger Games called Catching Fire. The movie was released in 2013 and became as successful as the first part. The same year, Hemsworth worked on three more movies, a romantic drama Love and Honor, a crime drama Empire State, and a thriller Paranoia. All movies featured Hemsworth as a leading actor.

In 2014, Liam worked on the next part of Hunger Games – Mockingjay – Part 1. The role brought Hemsworth a nomination for Teen Choice Award as Actor Sci-Fi/Fantasy. The same year, the movie Cut Bank premiered. Liam played the leading role of Dwayne McLaren. In 2016, Roland Emmerich’s sci-fi film Independence Day: Resurgence premiered on the big screen. Liam had a starring role of Jake Morrison. The second movie with Hemsworth, which came out that year, was a western The Duel. In 2019, Liam’s fans are awaiting a romantic comedy Isn't It Romantic, in which the actor plays a supporting role.
